Overview

Gdi̽ Mës Ner was founded durring the early 17th century in early summer of the year 1606, by Micropera Gharthat. The establishment of Gdi̽ Mës Ner was somewhat plagued by a lack of willing colonists, leading to Micropera Gharthat electing to pay people to resettle in Gdi̽ Mës Ner.

Gdi̽ Mës Ner was built using the conventions of Wood Elven durring the early 17th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Gdi̽ Mës Ner is no diffrent. The town's buildings feature waddle and daub construction with good timber frames and a stone foundation protected by thatched or shingled rooves. Most buildings with second floors are built in such a way as to overhang into the streets on the upper floors for more space, as building size seems to be the primary indicator of wealth within the community. Most buildings are not decorated with any integral features, but instead use ivy, flowers, and other natural elements in planters of on trellices to breathe life into the structure they grow upon.

Gdi̽ Mës Ner is was constructed arround several broad cobblestone mainstreets which cross one another at certain axies, with smaller streets branching off of them to premit acess to the many buildings deeper into the road network. The overall fashion is remenessent of a circulatory system, or other organic construct, and is quite effishent in its design. The town is protected by a humble stone fence which is tall enough to provide adiquite cover for defenders to fire from, but no more than that. Gdi̽ Mës Ner's peasent-grade are in an unremarkable state. To some, this is the ideal sate for defences to be in. In need of absoutly nothing, and ready to serve the town as needed.

A look around Gdi̽ Mës Ner has something terribly wrong with it. It’s impossible to put one’s finger on, but something is horribly wrong. Maybe it’s the way fog blankets the ground, but only in the connors of places. Maybe it’s the vermin scutteling between shadows in the corner of your eyes. Perhaps it’s the overcast sky which seemed to creep out of nowhere, or the distant howling of wolves. Maybe it’s everything together. Regardless, you do not feel it would be wise to remain in Gdi̽ Mës Ner long.

Cultural Notes

While Gdi̽ Mës Ner might ostensibly be ruled by some other power, real control lies with the senior members of the local craft and labor guilds. Their decisions have the practical weight of law, and much of their time and effort is spent squeezing out competitors and parceling out economic opportunities in the community. Some guilds might have little or nothing to do with their original trade, and now exist purely as shells for political influence.

Gdi̽ Mës Ner's chapel was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used is best known for the combined use of arcuated and trabeated construction, employing arches and constructed with post and lintel. The arch served as the style's chief structural element, with flanking columns serving as buttresses or decorations. While the general shape of their structures could be generously described as simplistic, the use of these arches and columns created a most distinct ascetic which is easily distinguishable on sight to armatures and experts alike.

In Gdi̽ Mës Ner the stars are always right.

The Bonewrought Willow near Gdi̽ Mës Ner are known to be more aggressive than normal.

Gdi̽ Mës Ner's citizens partake in a curious ritual relating to their local kami. It takes place in winter and involves consuming a local narcotic to channel Illusion energies of tier 3 via oratory performances.
